Lucia has received funding from the Royal Society of Chemistry to support a project titled “Voices of Inclusion: Building Belonging Through Shared Stories and Open Dialogue.”
The initiative aims to break down barriers within the chemistry community by fostering open conversations and shared experiences.
The project will support a series of five afternoon events taking place in October 2025 at the School of Biological Sciences at Queen’s University Belfast. The events are being organised in collaboration with the Schools of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and Pharmacy.
Each session will explore themes such as ethnicity and cultural identity, disability, language and communication, and socio-economic background. The goal is to create a more inclusive and understanding environment, while also making space for fun, connection, and meaningful encounters with both new faces and familiar ones.
Everyone is welcome to join!
More details will be shared after the summer.
