Lucia Lombardi is Academic Lead for EDI in the School of Biological Sciences at Queen’s University Belfast. In this role, she will help shape the School’s programmes and support a culture where people can work and learn well.
As part of this commitment, Lucia will soon establish a Biological Sciences EDI Committee dedicated to promoting a culture where everyone feels heard, respected and happy. She firmly believes that we do not get far on our own, but together we can go much further.
The committee will be inclusive and diverse, bringing together people with different backgrounds, genders, life stories, career stages and educational paths. What all members will share is a genuine desire to contribute to a more inclusive environment and to bring joy into the place where we work.
